How Can severe Sore Throat Along With Cough Be Treated?
Started having a sore throat 2 weeks ago. Sore throat is still there but not as bad. Have history of thyroid cancer but ultra sound of throat showed no signs. Or was Normal. Have been coughing up mucus , green yellow and sometimes brown or what appears to be blood in mucus. Today mucus started coming out of both my eyes. Eyes hurt, red, swollen. I continue to cough, still have sore throat and my sinus are congested at times.

How Can severe Sore Throat Along With Cough Be Treated?
Hello, Your symptoms seem to be related to an upper respiratory tract infection. I suggest you use anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen. I also recommend using throat sprays for antibacterial properties. For a cough, you can use the mucolytic syrup to help you with a cough. I recommend to drink liquids and eat rest. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
